Under the supervision of the sports and leisure facilitator, the incumbent will mainly have to perform the following tasks:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the surveillance of swimmers bathing in the part delimited for this purpose;
  • Ensure the safety of bathing places and bodies of water;
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations at the beach;
  • Give first aid to people in need;
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the premises;
  • Report to his superior any anomalies he notices;
  • Perform all other duties related to the function.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold a valid oceanic and / or continental lifeguard certificate issued by the Lifesaving Society;

OU

  • Hold a national lifeguard pool option certificate if it is not possible to recruit holders of an oceanic and / or continental beach lifeguard certificate;
  • Be a student and be at least 16 years old;
  • Be in good physical condition;
  • Have a good sense of responsibility.

WORKPLACE:   Haldimand Beach
EXPECTED TERM OF EMPLOYMENT : from June 19 to August 20, 2023
WORKING HOURS:  Maximum of 40 hours per week
EXPECTED SALARY 2023:  Between $ 16,13 to $ 18,52 (depending on skills and function)
