NOTICE is hereby given that, following the public consultation meeting which was held on January 24, 2019, the municipal Council of "Ville de Gaspé" has accepted by resolution, on January 24, 2019 a second draft of by-law 1156-11-37 amending the zoning by-law. This second draft contains provisions that may be subject to an application made by interested persons from anyone of the zones to which such provisions apply and of the contiguous zones, to require that a by-law containing these be submitted for their approval, in accordance with the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities.

An interested person is a person of full age, Canadian citizen and not under curatorship who, on the date of adoption of the second draft, which is January 24, 2019, is not disqualified from voting and meets one of the following requirements:
Should there be no valid applications relating to the provisions of the second draft, the said provisions may be then included in a by-law which will not have to be submitted for the approval of the qualified voters.
The second draft of by-law is available for consultation at the Clerk’s office at the Town Hall during regular work hours, that is from 8 h 15 am till 12 h and from 1 h till 4 h 30 pm, Monday till Thursday, and from 8 h 15 am till 12 h on Friday.

1.- THAT at a meeting held on December 3, 2018, the Town Council has adopted the following by-laws:
1156-11-35, « règlement amendant le règlement de zonage 1156-11 en modifiant les usages autorisés dans la zone M-224 afin de permettre l’usage habitation multifamiliale et collective (H-8) avec un maximum de douze (12) logements »;
1156-11-36, « règlement modifiant les usages autorisés dans la zone CE-271 afin de permettre comme usage spécifiquement permis dans cette zone, l’usage Vente au détail de cannabis et de produits du cannabis (5990), modifiant le paragraphe B) COMMERCE DE DÉTAIL (DIVERS) de l’alinéa 2 de l’article 3.2.3 CLASSE DÉTAIL, ADMINISTRATION ET SERVICES (C-2) afin de modifier l’usage autorisé 599 – Autres activités de la vente au détail (sauf les sex-shops) et remplaçant le titre de l’article 22.12.4 Affichage dans une zone* où les classes d'usages* Accommodation (C-1), Détail, administration et services (C-2), Restauration (C-7), Débit de boisson (C-8) et Erotique (C-11) sont autorisées ».

The City of Gaspé wish to inform the population that they will be mailing the new collection schedule for residual materials soon. The calendar contains a multitude of tips to help you manage your waste, recyclables and compostable materials, as well as the materials that goes to the ecocenter. Be sure to consult it this year as various changes to the collection areas have been made to improve their efficiencies. The calendar also informs you about seasonal changes in the collection schedule.
The collection calendar is also available on the website of the city of Gaspé in French and English in the section of residual materials. The printed English version will be available at the City Hall.

THAT the number of applications needed in order that a referendum poll be held is 334 and failing this number, the concerned By-Law will be deemed approved by the qualified voters.
THAT the qualified voters may examine this By-Law at the office of the undersigned from 8 h 15 am till 12 h and from 1 h till 4 h 30 pm from Monday till Thursday, and from 8 h 15 am till 12 h on Friday, and during registration hours.
