The municipal authorities of "Ville de Gaspé" would like to advise the population that:

  • according to By-Law 1190-12, motor vehicles are forbidden from parking on the streets of the town, from 0 h to 7 h, between November 1st, 2017, and April 30, 2018;

Motor vehicles are forbidden from parking on "rue de la Reine", from 3 h to 7 h, between November 1st, 2017, and April 30, 2018;

All motor vehicles parked in contravention with this By-Law will be towed at the owner's expense, and he or she will therefore be obliged to pay the fine and the costs described in this By-Law.

  • according to By-Law 736-99, it is forbidden to make snow pile-ups or other pile-ups in the streets, alleys or public places;

Any person infringing this By-Law will be liable to a fine and the costs described in this By-Law.

Ville de Gaspé counts on the collaboration of its citizens regarding the respect of these provisions for security reasons and to make snow removal operations easier.

OF THE REAL ESTATE ASSESSMENT ROLL
FOR THE YEARS 2018-2019-2020

NOTICE is hereby given that the Real Estate Assessment Roll of the Town of Gaspe for the fiscal years 2018-2019-2020 was deposited at the Office of the Town Clerk on November 3, 2017.

Public notice is also given that any person may examine the roll at the Finance department at City Hall (25, Hôtel-de-Ville Street) from Monday to Friday during regular business hours.

Any application for review regarding the roll must be filed before May 1st, 2018 by means of the prescription form available at the Finance department (Application for review of the real estate assessment roll) and be accompanied by the required sum of money for this type of demand. 1.      THAT at a meeting held on September 11, 2017, the Town Council has adopted By-Law 1339-17 «décrétant une dépense d’une somme de 385 000 $ pour l’acquisition d’une dameuse pour le centre de ski Mont-Béchervaise et abrogeant le règlement 1338-17».

2.      THAT By-Law 1339-17 has been approved by the qualified voters during a register held on September 19 and 20, 2017.

3.      THAT By-Law 1339-17 has been approved by the Minister of Municipal affairs and Land occupancy, on October 26, 2017.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

• the nature of the minor exemption is to increase of 1.5 meter the height in accordance to the maximal height of 6.5 meters required by the article 8.8.2.2 of the zoning By-Law 1156-11;

• the minor exemption will have for consequence to regularize the construction of a garage with a height of 8 meters.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to increase of two (2) the number of signs for the C-2 use class in accordance with the total number of one (1) sign can be fixed to the ground required by article 22.12.5 of the zoning By-Law 1156-11.
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to permit the implantation in the front yard of three (3) signs fixed to the ground.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

• the nature of the minor exemption is to reduce of 12m² of the minimal area of 50 m² for a principal building established by the article 4.2 by the zoning By-Law 1156-11.

• the minor exemption will have for consequence to permit the construction of a principal building (permanent cottage) with an area of 38m².

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to reduce of 7.18 m of the minimal width required at the article 5.3 of the land division By-Law 1157-11 for a building lot of 45m.
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to permit the subdivision of lot 4 055 097 to create two (2) buildings lots with a width, on the front line of 37.82m.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to reduce of 46 cm the free distance between a principal building and an isolated complementary building required of 2 m established by the zoning By-Law 1156-11.
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to permit the construction of an isolated shed with a free space of 1.54m of the principal building.
