  • THAT at a meeting held on October 23, 2023, the Town Council has adopted By-Law 1518-23 « Règlement modifiant le règlement 1067-09 décrétant l’imposition d’une taxe aux fins du financement de centres d’urgence 9-1-1 ».

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given:

1.-     THAT at a meeting held on October 5, 2023, the Town Council has adopted this by-law 1156-11-64, « règlement amendant le règlement de zonage 1156-11 en modifiant les usages autorisés dans les zones HB-293 et HE-295 afin de permettre comme usage spécifiquement permis l’usage Ensemble immobilier pour personnes ayant besoin d’aide, de protection, de soins ou d’hébergement d’un maximum de 32 logements »

2.-     THAT by-law 1156-11-64 has been approved by the council of the regional county municipality La Côte-de-Gaspé, on October 11, 2023;

3.-     THAT an assessment of conformity has been issued by the Secretary-treasurer of the regional county municipality La Côte-de-Gaspé in respect of by-law 1156-11-64 on October 16, 2023;

4.-     THAT by-law 1156-11-64 came into force on October 16, 2023, according to the Act respecting land use planning and development;

5.-     THAT the interested can consult that by-law at the Office of the Town clerk, at the Town Hall, 25, rue de l'Hôtel-de-Ville, Gaspé, during regular office hours.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on Monday November 20, 2023, at 7h30 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr. Félix Ménard Saint-Denis for the CISSS de la Gaspésie concerning a property situated at 150, rue Monseigneur-Ross.

  • The nature of this exemption is the use of canexel type engineered wood as exterior siding construction material for complementary buildings, when this material is not the same type as those of the main building as established in section 19.2 required by the zoning By-Law 1156-11.
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to regularize the use of canexel type engineered wood as exterior siding construction material (walls) for the 8 new additional buildings that are not of the same type as those of the main building.

During this meeting, the Town Council will hear the interested wishing to be heard on that request.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on Monday November 20, 2023, at 7h30 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr. Bernard Lemieux for a property situated at 29, rue Jalobert.

  • The nature of the minor exemption is to reduce of 0.13 m in the left lateral setback for an isolate private garage compared to the minimum lateral setback of 1.50 m required at the article 8.8.2.2 of zoning By-Law 1156-11.
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to regularize an isolated private garage having a left lateral setback of 1.37 m.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on Monday November 20, 2023, at 7h30 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr. Mathieu Normand-Chicoine for a property situated at 2, montée de Corte-Real.

  • The nature of the minor derogation is to increase of one floor the floor height in accordance to the maximum floor height of 2 required in the specification grid for zone M-414, of the zoning By-Law 1156-11.
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to regularize a main building with a height of 3 floors.

To the qualified voters entitled to have their name entered on the referendum list of the entire municipality of the town of Gaspé.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given by the undersigned, Town clerk of Ville de Gaspé, that at a regular sitting held on October 2, 2023, the Town Council has adopted the following By-Law:

1517-23 :    « RÈGLEMENT DÉCRÉTANT UNE DÉPENSE ET UN EMPRUNT D’UNE SOMME DE 360 347 $ POUR LE REMPLACEMENT ET L’ACQUISITION D’UN VÉHICULE INCENDIE »

THAT the persons qualified to vote on the By-Law on the date of October 2, 2023, and who have therefore the right to demand that this By-Law be submitted to a referendum poll will have access to a register open for that purpose from 9 am to 7 pm on October 16 and 17, 2023 at the office of the undersigned, at the Town Hall in order to enter their name, address and occupation together with their signature.

IS A QUALIFIED VOTER OF THE MUNICIPALITY

A person who, on October 2, 2023, is not disqualified from voting according to article 524 of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities and meets the following requirements:

  • a natural person domiciled in the municipality and, since at least six months, in Québec and
  • is of full age and a Canadian citizen, and not under curatorship.

The non resident sole owner of an immoveable or non resident sole occupant of a business place situated in the municipality who is not disqualified from voting and meets the following requirements:

  • is the owner of an immoveable or sole occupant of a business place situated in the municipality since at least 12 months;
  • in the case of a natural person, be of full age and Canadian citizen and not under curatorship.

The non resident undivided co-owners and non resident co-occupants of a business place situated in the municipality not disqualified from voting and meet the following requirements:

  • is the undivided co-owner of an immoveable or co-occupant of a business place situated in the municipality since at least 12 months;
  • is designated by means of a power of attorney signed by a majority of the persons who are co-owners or co-occupants since at least 12 months, as the one who has the right to sing in their name and to be entered on the referendum list of the municipality. This power of attorney must be produced before or at the signature time.

Legal person:

  • have designated by resolution among its members, directors or employees, a person who, on October 2, 2023, and at voting time, is of full age and Canadian citizen, is not under curatorship and is not disqualified to vote.

THAT the persons qualified to vote on the By-Law in question must establish their identity to the responsible person for the register, by presenting, among others: a health-insurance card issued by the Québec Health Insurance Board, a driver’s permit issued by the Québec Automobile Insurance Society, a Canadian passport, an identity card of the Canadian armed forces, a certificate of Indian status.

THAT the number of applications needed in order that a referendum poll be held for this By-Law is 1 238 and failing this number, the concerned By-Law will be deemed approved by the qualified voters.

THAT the qualified voters may examine this By-Law at the office of the undersigned from 8 h 15 am till 12 h and from 1 h till 4 h 30 pm from Monday till Thursday, and from 8 h 15 am till 12 h on Friday, and during registration hours.

THAT the result of this registration procedure will be announced on October 17, 2023, at 7 pm, at the office of the undersigned, 25, rue de l’Hôtel-de-Ville in Gaspé.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on Monday October 23, 2023, at 7h30 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr. Jean-Michel Boudreau for the Sports Experts business concerning the property situated at 39, montée de Sandy Beach.

  • The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:
  • to increase of 2,78 m2 in the area for a sign lay flat on the right side wall of the building compared to the maximum area of 3 m2 established in article 22.12.4 of Zoning By-law no 1156-11.
  • to increase of 1,37 m2 in the area for a sign lay flat on the main facade of the building compared to the maximum area of 5 m2 established in article 22.12.4 of Zoning By-law no 1156-11.
  • to increase of 3,59 m2 in the area for a sign lay flat on the main facade of the building compared to the maximum area of 5 m2 established in article 22.12.4 of Zoning By-law no 1156-11.

  • Allow the installation of a sign lay flat on the right side wall of the building having an area of 5,78 m2 and two (2) signs lay flat on the main façade of the building having respectively an area of 6,37 m2 and 8,59 m2.
