Moreover, according to article 6 of this by-law "Any dog barking or whining so as to disturb the peace or to be a serious nuisance to the neighborhood, is considered a nuisance and his owner is liable to a fine under regulation. "
Failure by the owners to respect this notice, the town reserves the right to take the appropriate procedures.
Any violation of this regulation will also be liable to the fine provided in the by-law. Dog owners are invited to respect the regulation.
Notice is also given that the officers of the Sûreté du Québec are authorized to enforce the by-law in force.
Is it also important to note that the Town of Gaspé is actually reviewing its dog by-law and that citizens will soon be consulted regarding any changes that may be made to the by-law in force.
