Minor exemption - 20, rue Adams

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on Monday July 11, 2022, at 7h30 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr Brent Simpson, for the property located at 20, rue Adams.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is :
  • increase of 0.5 m² in area for a sign affixed flat on a side wall of a building compared to the maximum area of 3 m2 established in article 22.12.4 of Zoning By-law no. 1156-11;
  • increasing the number of signs affixed flat on a side wall of a building by 1 compared to the maximum number of 1 established in article 22.12.4 of Zoning By-law no. 1156-11;
  • installation of 3 signs affixed flat on the back wall of the building;
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to allow the installation of 2 signs affixed flat on the right side wall, one of 3.5 m² and one of 0.56 m² as well as 3 signs affixed flat on the back wall, one of 0.44 m², one of 0.80 m² and one of 2.3 m².

During this meeting, the Town Council will hear the interested wishing to be heard on that request.

In addition, this request for minor exemption will also be the subject of a written consultation which will be held from June 23 to July 8, 2022 inclusively. During this period, we invite anyone interested to submit questions, observations, or comments in writing, no later than Friday, July 8, 2022, 4h30 pm as follows:

  • By delivering them directly to the legal services and registry office located at the town hall at 25, rue de l'Hotel-de-Ville, Gaspé;
