NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held in the hall of the town hall, on Monday October 4, 2021, at 7h30 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr Jean-François Côté, for a property situated at 1209, rue du Monument.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to increase of 40 m2 the area for a fishing building in accordance to the maximal area of 100 m2 required by the article 8.8.3 of the Zoning By-Law 1156-11;
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to regularize the construction of a complimentary fishing building within an urban perimeter with an area of 140 m2.

Written consultation

By virtue of ministerial order 2020-049 dated July 4, 2020, any procedure other than a referendum which is part of the decision-making process of a municipal body and which involves the movement or gathering of citizens can be replace by a procedure with a 15-day written consultation announced beforehand by a public notice;

During the session of the municipal council, which was held on September 7, 2021, the latter authorized, by resolution 21-09-031, the consultation in writing of the persons interested with regard to the request for minor exemption mentioned above in the minutes of the advisory planning committee, adopted by the town council by the resolution 21-09-031;

The municipal council, during the ordinary meeting to be held behind in the hall of the town hall, Monday October 4, 2021, at 7:30 p.m., rule on this request for minor exemption;

1.-     THAT at a meeting held on September 7, 2021, the Town Council has adopted « résolution PPCMOI 1444-21-001 – Projet particulier de construction, de modification ou d’occupation d’un immeuble – Gestion Mathieu Guimond Inc. – Lot 4 470 529 – Boulevard de Douglas – afin de permettre la construction, par phases, d’un ensemble touristique composé d’un maximum de 26 chalets touristiques locatifs ainsi que l’aménagement du terrain incluant les bâtiments et les éléments complémentaires. »

By-Law 1450-21:

The purpose of this By-Law is to cite as a heritage immovable the immovable situated at 1830, boulevard de Forillon.

By-Law 1451-21:

« Règlement sur la citation de l’Entrepôt frigorifique de l’Anse-au-Griffon à titre d’immeuble patrimonial. »

The purpose of this By-Law is to cite as a heritage immovable the immovable situated at 557, boulevard du Griffon.

NOTICE is also given that this By-Law is deposited at the office of the municipality and that the interested may there take cognizance thereof during regular office hours or by e-mail at greffe@ville.gaspe.qc.ca.

By this public notice, Isabelle Vézina, the returning officer, announces the following to the owners of a building and the occupants of a business establishment.

1.You may have the right to vote if you are the owner of a building or if you are the occupant of a business establishment in the municipality since or before September 1, 2020.

2.To be eligible, you must be 18 years of age or older on polling day and have the Canadian citizenship on September 1, 2021. You must not be under curatorship or deprived of your election rights on that date.

3.To exercise your voting right, you must submit the appropriate document:

  • An application for entry if you are the sole owner of a building or sole occupant of a business establishment.
  • If you are one of the co-owners of co-occupants of a building or a business establishment, a power of attorney designing one person among you, who will be entered on the list.

To obtain the required forms, contact the returning officer. Please send the completed form to the address provided below.

4.In order for the application to be valid for the current election, you must submit your form no later than October 21, 2021.

The application for entry on the list of electors or the power of attorney remains valid until it is replaced or withdrawn. If you want to replace or withdraw an existing application for entry or a power of attorney, please contact the returning officer.

Exceptional measures related to the health situation
(vote by mail – COVID-19)

5.     You will have the opportunity to vote by mail if you are in one of the following situations:

·       You will be 70 years of age or older on polling day.

·       Between Sunday, October 17, 2021, and Wednesday, October 27, 2021, you must comply with a request or recommendation for isolation from public health authorities because you:

o   returned from a trip abroad within the last 14 days;

o   were diagnosed with COVID-19 and you are still considered a carrier of the disease;

o   are showing COVID-19 symptoms;

o   have been in contact with a suspected, probable or confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days;

o   are waiting for a COVID-19 test result.

              To vote by mail, eligible electors must make a verbal or written request to the returning officer no later than October 27.

If you are requesting to vote by mail because you must comply with an order or a recommendation from public health authorities to isolate, your request will be valid for the current poll only. If you will be 70 years of age or older on polling day, your application will be valid for the current poll and any recommenced proceedings arising from this election.

[1] Eligible health establishment are hospital centres, CHSLDs, rehabilitation centres and private seniors’ residences listed in the register established under the Act respecting health services and social services (chapter S-4.2) and hospital centres or reception centres within the meaning of the Act respecting health services and social services for Cree Native persons (chapter S-5).

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held, on Monday September 20, 2021, at 7h30 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr Julien Vibert, for a property situated at 485, boulevard de Pointe-Navarre.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to reduce of 0.12 m on the minimal lateral back margin for an isolated private garage in accordance to the minimal lateral back margin of 1.50 m required at the article 8.8.2.2 of the Zoning By-Law;
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to regulize the implantation of an isolated private garage in back court with an lateral back margin of 1.38 m.

Act respecting land use and development provides that any interested party may be heard by the municipal council when the latter must rule on a request for a minor exemption, but that currently, under ministerial order 2020-029 dated from April 26, 2020, the meetings of the municipal council can be held exceptionally behind closed doors during the state of health emergency;
