NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016, at 8 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr Jean-Claude Cassivi for a property situated at 2, rue du Chantier-Maritime.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to reduce of 6.09 meters of the minimal front back margin of 10 meters provided at the specifications grid of the IC-297 area required by the zoning By-Law 1156-11;
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to permit the enlargement of the principal building with the front setback at 3.91 meters.

During this meeting, the Town Council will hear the interested wishing to be heard on that request.

Public notice is hereby given by the undersigned, town clerk for Ville de Gaspé, having her professional domicile at 25, rue de l’Hôtel-de-Ville in Gaspé Québec G4X 2A5, that in virtue of the resolution passed by the municipal council on September 6, 2016 the properties hereinafter described will be sold by public auction at the Town Hall council meeting room, 25, rue de l’Hôtel-de-Ville, on November 16, 2016 at 10h00, in lieu of payment of municipal and school taxes, including accumulated interest, plus incurred expenses, unless these taxes, interests and expenses are paid up before that date (cash payment or certified cheque).

The properties hereinafter described will be sold subject to a one year right of withdrawal.

The properties will be sold with the buildings erected on them and appurtenances, if the case arises, subject to all active or passive, apparent of hidden easements, which may affect them at the buyer’s own risk.

The price of each property as determined by auction shall be paid immediately in legal tender (cash payment, money order, bank draft or certified cheque made to the order of Ville de Gaspé).  When applicable, the federal tax on goods and services (GST) and provincial sales tax (QST) are added in the amount of the price of the property.

1-         THAT at a meeting held on June 20, 2016, the Town Council has adopted By-Law 1306-16 «décrétant un emprunt de 264 600 $ pour l’exercice financier 2016 conformément à l’article 11 du chapitre 30 des lois de 2013».

2-      THAT By-Law 1306-16 has been approved by the Minister of Municipal affairs and Land occupancy, on August 11, 2016.

GIVEN at Gaspé, August 10, 2016.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at 8 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr Dan Dupuis for a property situated at 294, rue Jacques-Cartier.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to reduce the minimal depth of the front yard of 7.79 m in accordance to the minimal depth of the front yard of 20m required by the article 8.8.2.2 of the zoning By-Law 1156-11;
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to regularize the location of a garage in the front yard with a depth of 12,21 m.

During this meeting, the Town Council will hear the interested wishing to be heard on that request.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given by the Gaspé town clerk, in accordance with article 12 of the Municipal Ethics and good conduct act:

THAT a draft of the following by-laws amending the codes of ethics and good conduct for elected municipal officer and employees of the Town of Gaspe have been presented during an ordinary meeting held on July 11th, 2016, in same time that the motion notice have been given like required by the law:

  • Règlement modifiant le règlement 1239-14 décrétant l’adoption d’un code d’éthique et de déontologie des élus de la ville de Gaspé;
  • Règlement modifiant le règlement 1193-12 décrétant l’adoption d’un code d’éthique et de déontologie pour les employés municipaux de la ville de Gaspé;

THAT the proposed amendments to the by-laws are intended to prohibit any member of the municipal council as well as any employee of the municipality to make the announcement at a political fundraising event, realization of a project of the conclusion of a contract or a grant by the municipality, unless a final decision on this project, contract or grant was made by the competent authority of the municipality

THAT the town council will adopt the by-laws at it’s ordinary meeting, who will be held on August 15th, 2016, at 8h pm, at the town hall.

THAT the draft of By-Laws are available for consultation at the Office of the Town clerk of the municipality.

GIVEN at Gaspé, on August 3, 2016

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016, at 8 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr Yvan Plourde for the lot 3 145 959, cadastre du Québec (land situated at approximatively 2 km at the east of the LET).

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to :

reduce of 47.56 m. the minimal front back margin and 8.84 m. of the minimal lateral margin required by the article 2.5.2 of the Règlement de zonage no 1156-11;

reduce of 17.68 m. the sum of the minimal lateral back margin required by the article 2.5.3 of the Règlement de zonage no 1156-11.

  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to authorize the construction of a principal building with a front back margin of 52.44 m., the laterals back margin of 6.16 m. and a sum of the laterals margin of 12.32 m.

During this meeting, the Town Council will hear the interested wishing to be heard on that request.

MINOR EXEMPTION FROM URBANISM BY-LAWS

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on August 15, 2016, at 8 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr Luc Ste-Croix for a property situated at 261, montée de Sandy-Beach.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to reduce of 8.88 m the minimal front yard required at the point 2 of the article 8.8.2.2 of the zoning By-Law 1156-11 to regulize the encroachment of a garage in a front yard without a depth of 20 m.
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to regularize the localisation of an isolated private garage who encroachment lightly in the front yard with a depth of 11.12m.

During this meeting, the Town Council will hear the interested wishing to be heard on that request.

Due to an upgrading of equipment on the water network, please note that there will be an interruption of this service Monday, July 25th at 9 am, for an indefinite period. The interruption will affect the area of ​​the Hôtel de Ville street, the public housing sector , the Sandy Beach sector including the industrial park of Sandy Beach, du Quai street, du Chantier street, Quigley street, Cotton street,  Forest street and Toundra street until the end of the network.

Public Works will attempt to finish the work as quickly as possible.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given:

1. THAT at a meeting held on June 6, 2016, the Town Council has adopted by-law 1156-11-21 by-law amending By-Law 1156-11 “en agrandissant la zone M-406 à même une partie de la zone M-405, en modifiant le troisième point de l'article 20.5 roulottes de patates frites, restaurants-minute et restaurants sans consommation sur place et ce afin d'inclure la zone M-405 aux zones permettant ces types d'usages et en agrandissant la zone F-177 à même une partie de la zone RT-174 et ce afin de permettre l'agrandissement d'une industrie extractive existante »;

2. THAT by-law 1156-11-21 has been approved by the council of the regional county municipality La Côte-de-Gaspé, on June 8, 2016;

3. THAT an assessment of conformity has been issued by the Secretary-treasurer of the regional county municipality La Côte-de-Gaspé in respect of by-law 1156-11-21 on June 13, 2016;

4. THAT by-law 1156-11-21 came into force on June 13, 2016, according to the Act respecting land use planning and development;

5. THAT the interested can consult this by-law at the Office of the Town clerk, at the Town Hall, 25, rue de l'Hôtel-de-Ville, Gaspé, during regular office hours.
