ENACTMENT OF BY-LAW

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given :

  1. 1. THAT at a meeting held on November 5, 2018, the Town Council has adopted By-Law 1372-18 «décrétant une dépense d’une somme de 9 663 186 $ et un emprunt d’une somme de 5 732 658 $ pour la réalisation de travaux de resurfaçage et de prolongement de la piste de l’aéroport Michel-Pouliot ainsi que la confection de nouvelles approches».
  1. 2. THAT By-Law 1372-18 has been approved by the qualified voters during a register held on November 20 and 21, 2018.
  1. 3. THAT By-Law 1372-18 have been approved by the Minister of Municipal affairs and Housing, on January 9, 2019.

NOTICE is hereby given that the municipal Council of "Ville de Gaspé", at its regular meeting held on December 17, 2018, has adopted by resolution the following draft of by-law and that a public consultation meeting will be held at the Town Hall, on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 4:00 p.m.

Draft of by-law 1156-11-37:

         The draft of by-law amends the zoning by-law 1156-11, as follows:

  • « Agrandissant la zone M-224 à même une partie de la zone M-236;
  • Modifiant le deuxième paragraphe de l’article 3.2.17 « CLASSE INDUSTRIE DIVERSE (I-2) », afin d’ajouter l’usage autorisé Industrie de production, de transformation et d’entreposage du cannabis (2131) dans la zone IC-269;
  • Modifiant les usages autorisés dans les zones IC-161, IC-297, IC-297-1, IC-297-2 et IC-341-1 afin d’ajouter l’usage spécifiquement prohibé Industrie de production, de transformation et d’entreposage du cannabis (2131);

MINOR EXEMPTION

FROM URBANISM BY-LAWS

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council, at an ordinary meeting that will be held on February 4, 2019, at 8 pm, will consider the request for minor exemption from the zoning By-Law 1156-11, presented by Mr Michel Desjardins, for a property situated at 232, rue Domagaya.

The nature and consequences of this exemption are the following:

  • the nature of the minor exemption is to :
  • reduce of 32 cm the left lateral setback for a shed in accordance to the minimal lateral back margin of 1.5 m required at the article 8.8.1 of the zoning By-Law 1156-11;
  • reduce of 38 cm the rear setback for a shed in accordance to the minimal rear setback of 1.50 m required at the article 8.8.1 of the zoning By-Law 1156-11.
  • the minor exemption will have for consequence to regularize the location of a shed with a left lateral setback of 1.18 m and a rear setback of 1.12 m.

During this meeting, the Town Council will hear the interested wishing to be heard on that request.

The calendar contains a multitude of tips to help you manage your waste, recyclables and compostable materials, as well as the materials that goes to the ecocenter. Be sure to consult it this year as various changes to the collection areas have been made to improve their efficiencies. The calendar also informs you about seasonal changes in the collection schedule.

The collection calendar is also available on the website of the city of Gaspé in French and English in the section of residual materials. The printed English version will be available at the City Hall.

THAT the persons qualified to vote on the By-Law on the date of December 20, 2018, and who have therefore the right to demand that this By-Law be submitted to a referendum poll will have access to a register open for that purpose from nine (9) hours to nineteen (19) hours on January 9, 2019, at the office of the undersigned, at the Town Hall in order to enter their name, address and occupation together with their signature.

IS A QUALIFIED VOTER OF THE MUNICIPALITY

A person who, on December 20, 2018, is not disqualified from voting according to article 524 of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities and meets the following requirements:

  • a natural person domiciled in the municipality and, since at least six months, in Québec and
  • is of full age and a Canadian citizen, and not under curatorship.

The non resident sole owner of an immoveable or non resident sole occupant of a business place situated in the municipality who is not disqualified from voting and meets the following requirements:

  • is the owner of an immoveable or sole occupant of a business place situated in the municipality since at least 12 months;
  • in the case of a natural person, be of full age and Canadian citizen and not under curatorship.
